Rakhi Sawant has finally launched her dream reality show “Rakhi Ka Swayamvar” on NDTV Imagine tonight. I have followed couple episodes and I am hooked to it. It is very entertaining. The would be grooms are quite talented some are lawyers, some are actors, models, business man (one from Canada) and Police-man too. They are quite adorable. Rakhi looks great in the show. Good job Rakhi. Way to go.

Its really unbelievable that a girl that to a modern girl like Rakhi Sawant gonna take her most importatnt decision of life in front of billions of people in front of camera! Lets consider this is Rakhi's innovative way to get Married. We have heard of so many marriages which have got something different with new ways to make it innovative.. viz. Under water marriage, On bridge marriage, In the air marriage, etc. n now a sligth FLASH BACK ..... "SWAYAMWAR" similar to historical Sita's Swayamwar.

Rakhi Sawant Ka Swayamvar launched with 16 Potential Grooms.
Rakhi Sawant has finally launched her dream reality show “Rakhi Ka Swayamvar” on NDTV Imagine tonight. She has shortlisted 16 bachelors, who will compete to win over her. Every week one bachlor will be eliminated ultimately leading to one chosen person who will marry Rakhi Sawant.
The show traces the journey of a bride-to-be (Rakhi Sawant) from selecting her groom, to the marriage ceremony and all this will be captured on television !!!
Ram Kapoor is the host of Rakhi Ka Swayamvar and will also counsel and guide her though out the journey of finding the right person.
Produced by SOL Productions, the reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ is telecasted on NDTV Imagine from Monday to Friday.

NDTV Imagine’s plans for ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ has kicked off with roaring response from prospective grooms from across the world. In just 20 days of the show announcement, NDTV Imagine has received a thunderous response from Rakhi’s admirers. There has been a flood of entries received from across the globe via phone, email, sms and even personal deliveries to the NDTV Imagine office in Mumbai.
12,515 hopefuls have already sent in their profiles in the hope that they will win Rakhi’s heart and walk away with her hand in marriage. From businessmen to models and from NRI’s to doctors, and engineers, these prospective grooms come from all walks of life. Delhi tops the list with 2,465 entries where Mumbai stands second with 1,980 entries and Lucknow is in the same league with 1,830 entries.
The calls, sms’s and emails are still flowing from the cities like Nagpur, Indore, Patna, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. Most entries are in the broad age group of 18 to over 35.
A 18 years old Ramesh from Patna thinks that he can fulfill the need of love and affection that Rakhi is looking for and hence he is the perfect match for her. 25 years old Sanjay a bachelor from Mumbai really appreciates Rakhi’s bindass attitude and is looking forward to be short listed because he thinks that he is mature enough to support and guide her in every aspect of life.
Reacting to the overwhelming response to her swayamvar, a super-excited Rakhi said, “I want to thank everybody for their continued support of me. This huge response has proved to everybody that my swayamvar and shaadi is not a joke. My only wish is to find a person who will always be my support system and will respect me for what I am.
