Priyanka Chopra ready to take the music world by storm

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is all set to become Priyanka Chopra, the singer.

Former Miss World and actress Priyanka Chopra is now a singer. The lady, who has been busy giving shape to her singing career since last year is all geared up for the launch of her debut single ‘In My City’.

PC is currently busy promoting her flick ‘Barfi’ that also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz. But she is also squeezing out time for her album that features will.i.am.

She is gearing up for her upcoming inaugural single.Her first single, 'In My City' — from her maiden international album — was to be launched on American channel NFL Network’s event, Thursday Night Football on September 13.

But now, the news is that the actor has decided to launch the number for her Indian fans, before American audiences get to see it.


The song also features international artiste Will.i.am (from the band Black Eyed Peas).
Global pop star Lady Gaga’s producer RedOne has produced the album. The release of the full song and accompanying video for ‘In my city’ are expected later this year.

The actress is also gearing up for 'Barfi!' release opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
A day after the song releases, Priyanka’s upcoming film Barfi! will hit the theatres. A couple of days ago, she had tweeted: “7 days to go...for my single ‘in my city’ and my special film ‘Barfi’ Jeeeez! Scared... excited... nervous .”

The actor, who was expected to turn up in something Indian ("She is wearing our clothes for her entries Cannes visit," a tabloid had quoted Sandeep Khosla of Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla fame as saying), but in a surprise move (hmm.. a pleasant one) the actor was spotted wearing a pretty Angelo Katsapis dress. Thankfully, Ash chose to keep it simple by letting her hair down, literally.

First appearance down, the actor is now expected to wear an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation (most probably a be an off-white sari with a zardozi border or a chikankari anarkali suit) at the red carpet.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is reportedly being dressed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla at Cannes this year, has just been sighted in an Angelo Katsapis maxidress. Ash, who's Cannes wardrobe has been a closely guarded secret so far, was expected to make all her appearances wearing traditional Indian dress.
